Analysis Title: Gas Chromatography for gases
Instrumentation: Trace TM 1300 Gas Chromatograph-Thermo Scientific

Theory of Operation:
- The gas chromatograph (GC) is equipped with a flame ionization detector (FID) and two thermal conductivity detector (TCD) to allow the detection of a wide range of compounds. The GC separates methane (C1) through C6 hydrocarbons, in addition to oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, helium, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide, through two capillary columns.
Analytical Procedure:
Withdraw an appropriate amount of the gas from an IsoJar or IsoTube using a plastic syringe.
Inject the gas into the GC and analyze the sample using the appropriate GC method.
Review the chromatogram and identify the peaks.
